Senior Legal Counsel

Founded in 2017, Lume is a transformative personal care brand on a mission to normalize body odor beyond pits and provide people with outrageously effective solutions so they don’t have to think twice about odor. We are pioneers of the whole body deodorant category, with a portfolio of odor-blocking products including anti-perspirants, aluminum-free deodorants, body washes, body creams, cleansing bars and laundry sprays. Lume products are OB/GYN developed, made with skin-safe ingredients that are gentle enough for the most sensitive parts and often referred to as “life-changing” by our customers. In late 2022, we launched a men’s line called Mando, bringing our expertise to the men’s personal care category. The Senior Counsel, Enterprise will serve as a strategic legal and business partner to the Enterprise function of Mammoth Brands Inc., including its Finance, People, Technology and Mammoth Labs (M&A) teams. This role will support a broad range of corporate, operational and commercial matters and provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice that enables the business to move quickly while appropriately managing risk. 

This role requires an experienced , business-oriented attorney who combines strong legal judgment with the versatility to advise across a wide range of corporate, technology, finance and people-related subject matters. 

This position will report to the Director of Legal, Enterprise, of Mammoth Brands Inc.

• →Serve as a key business partner and advisor to Enterprise leadership and stakeholders
• →Advise on, negotiate and draft complex corporate and commercial agreements, balancing legal risk with business priorities
• →Drive legal workstreams supporting Mammoth Labs and Finance on strategic transactions, investments, financings and other corporate initiatives
• →Advise on technology, data privacy, cybersecurity and AI-related matters, including commercial arrangements and emerging legal and regulatory issues
• →Advise the People team on employment-related legal matters 
• →Develop and maintain company policies and procedures 
• →Provide or oversee training to Enterprise stakeholders on pertinent legal topics, as appropriate

• Strong judgment and the ability to provide risk-calibrated, business-focused legal advice in a fast-moving environment
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and address “over-the-horizon” risks that could impact business objectives
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability with cross-functional partners
• Clear and effective communicator, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business guidance
• Role model for company culture and norms, including ownership and constructive partnership with the business
• Bachelor's degree and J.D.; admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including significant in-house experience
• Experience advising across a broad range of legal matters, including corporate, commercial, employment and data privacy matters
• Comfort using AI-enabled legal tools and interest in leveraging technology to improve the quality and efficiency of legal work
