Life today is increasingly complicated, uncertain and unpredictable. People move through different careers, face unexpected moments and navigate important choices. We offer our colleagues flexibility, trust and benefits that work for whatever life brings. In return we expect curiosity, connection, accountability and high standards. We make room for what matters, so you can bring your best, every day.

About the Role

~1 min read

We are recruiting experienced Change Managers to support the successful delivery of a large-scale system transformation across Standard Life and Phoenix Group, impacting all parts of the business.

The roles require strong, practical change management experience, with a focus on assessing impacts, preparing the business, engaging stakeholders and supporting a controlled transition to new processes, systems and ways of working.

Previous experience of large-scale system or operational transformation would be valuable, particularly where it involved complex business, customer or colleague impacts. Business analysis experience would also be beneficial but is not required.

Responsibilities

  • →Deliver change management activity in line with the prescribed change framework and governance standards.
  • →Assess the impacts of a large-scale system and administrative change across customers, colleagues, processes, systems, controls and third-party partners.
  • →Develop and maintain clear change, stakeholder, communications, training and business readiness plans.
  • →Build effective relationships with programme teams, business leaders, operational teams, Subject Matter Experts and third-party partners.
  • →Coordinate business readiness, communications, training, testing, implementation and transition activities to support successful delivery and minimise disruption.
  • →Support impacted teams through the transition, helping to embed new processes, systems and ways of working.
  • →Proactively manage change risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, escalating decisions and constraints promptly.
  • →Use data, feedback and readiness measures to provide clear reporting and identify where further intervention is required.
  • →Work collaboratively across the Change Manager cohort, sharing insight and applying a consistent approach across transformation workstreams.
  • →Identify opportunities where AI solutions could simplify processes, improve colleague experience and support operational effectiveness.

  • Proven experience of five to six years delivering change management activity within a complex project or programme environment.
  • Sound knowledge of change management principles, tools and techniques, including impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, communications, training and business readiness.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience assessing impacts across people, processes, technology and customers and translating findings into practical change plans.
  • Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving capability, with the ability to manage dependencies and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project, operational and technical teams while maintaining clear ownership of change deliverables.
  • A delivery-focused approach, with the judgement to identify risks, challenge assumptions and escalate where required.

  • Experience supporting a large-scale system transformation or complex operational change programme.
  • Financial services, pensions or insurance experience.
  • Business analysis experience, including process mapping, requirements gathering or data analysis.
  • Experience supporting testing, implementation, cutover, hypercare or operational transition activities.
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers or outsourced service providers.
  • AI Super User, Copilot Studio or equivalent AI-related training or certification.

Ability to assess business impacts, develop readiness plans and coordinate activities that support successful implementation and adoption of change.

Build effective relationships across business, operations, technology and third-party partners, influencing outcomes and maintaining engagement throughout delivery.

Communicate clearly and confidently with a range of audiences, tailoring messages to support understanding, readiness and adoption of change.

Identify operational, customer and process impacts, analyse complex issues and develop practical solutions to support delivery objectives.

Effectively prioritise, organise and manage multiple workstreams, balancing competing demands while maintaining delivery quality and governance standards.

Support the planning and delivery of a large-scale transformation by coordinating business readiness, implementation, transition and post-implementation support across impacted business areas. Strong core change management capability and experience of complex, business-wide change are essential.

Apply a continuous improvement mindset to improve customer outcomes, operational performance and change delivery effectiveness.

Apply Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled solutions to improve delivery outcomes, streamline processes and support business readiness activities. Share knowledge and support colleagues in the practical adoption of AI tools, automation and agent-based solutions.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.

We’re reviewing applications as they come in, so apply early to avoid missing out.
