SSO Cancer Hospital is seeking a Doctor’s Assistant / Patient Coordinator to support oncology consultants in managing schedules, coordinating patient care, and ensuring a seamless treatment journey. The role involves close interaction with patients, doctors, and hospital departments, with a focus on operational efficiency and patient experience.
Responsibilities

- →Manage the doctor’s daily OPD, consultation, and surgery schedules
- →Ensure optimal time utilization and coordination across multiple locations
Patient Coordination
- →Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and communication
- →Ensure smooth patient flow during OPD hours
- →Act as a single point of contact between patients and hospital teams
Treatment Planning and Conversion Support
- →Assist in converting OPD consultations into procedures or IPD admissions
- →Follow up with patients regarding diagnostics, treatment decisions, and surgery scheduling
IPD and OT Coordination
- →Coordinate admissions planning, IPD scheduling, and OT bookings
- →Liaise with billing, nursing, and hospital departments for seamless execution
Insurance and Documentation
- →Assist with insurance pre-authorisation processes and required documentation
- →Coordinate charity cases and ensure completion of approvals and documentation
Data Management and Tracking
- →Maintain patient records, follow-up trackers, and scheduling updates
- →Ensure accurate and timely data entry in internal systems
Patient Experience and Feedback
- →Ensure a smooth and positive patient experience throughout the treatment journey
- →Collect patient feedback and encourage reviews for the doctor and centre
- →Strong communication skills in English and Hindi
- →Excellent coordination and organisational abilities
- →Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel and hospital systems preferred)
- →Prior experience in hospital or clinic coordination is preferred
- →Ability to handle patient interactions with empathy and professionalism
