Requirements

This is a pivotal growth position within 2K Asia, supporting AAA blockbuster franchises such as Borderlands, Sid Meier’s Civilization, and NBA 2K. We are looking for a data-informed marketing professional to join our Tokyo team.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between community engagement and performance marketing. You will focus on maximizing the reach of our titles through Social Media & paid media strategy and data analysis, to ensure 2K’s brand resonates powerfully across the Japanese gaming landscape.

  • Lead the integrated planning, execution, and management of paid media campaigns (Paid Social, YouTube, Search, etc.) to maximize reach and user acquisition for 2K titles in Japan.
  • Manage and support 2K Japan’s overall social media strategy in alignment with global brand directions, ensuring content is localized and resource-efficient.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager to identify high-performing organic content and provide strategic paid boosts to amplify community engagement and brand growth.
  • Collaborate with agencies to manage monthly calendars, KPIs, and actionable steps, ensuring community initiatives align with broader marketing goals.
  • Consolidate and analyze data from both organic social channels and paid campaigns to evaluate the overall health and growth of 2K’s presence in Japan.
  • Generate regular performance reports for local, regional, and global stakeholders, translating local market trends and campaign results into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor social sentiment and VOC (Voice of Customer) to provide data-backed feedback to global development and marketing teams.
  • Support the broader Japan marketing team in executing integrated campaigns, including PR initiatives, influencer activations, and local events.
  • Assist in managing local agency relationships and creative localization to ensure all marketing assets are tailored for the Japanese audience.
  • Collaborate effectively across time zones with the Asia regional team and US headquarters.
  • Professional Experience: 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in SNS marketing, PR, or digital advertising within the gaming, entertainment, or consumer tech industries. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for a more senior role
  • Digital Media Expertise: Proven experience in managing paid media/performance marketing campaigns (specifically Paid Social). Experience on the agency side managing gaming clients is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and translate them into simple, actionable recommendations for the team.
  • Communication & Collaboration: A proactive team player who can support and elevate the work of colleagues while maintaining clear ownership of digital performance.
  • Cultural Fluency: Deep understanding of the Japanese gaming community and social media landscape.
  • Language: Native-level Japanese and Business-level English (written and spoken) are required for collaboration with regional and global teams.
  • Mindset: A "self-starter" who is comfortable with data and eager to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
