Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a team that keeps our manufacturing operation running safely, efficiently, and with pride for the products we produce and the customers we serve.   • Follow safe work behaviors and look out for hazards
  • Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and calibrate industrial and commercial equipment in production and utility areas.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, including PLC support, facility systems, and manufacturing process equipment.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve issues and enhance operational performance.
  • Operate industrial vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Participate in daily continuous improvement efforts to strengthen safety, quality, service, cost efficiency, and engagement.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.

  • High School Diploma or GED (completed before prior to start)
  • Ability to work second shift

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • 2-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Controls or other maintenance fields.
  • Maintenance experience
  • PLC controls systems experience
  • Experience troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented work style
