As a R&D Product Engineer located in Turkey, at Cerkezkoy Plant in Turkey you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Performing and guiding approved self-initiated or assigned programs of major importance to the assigned organization leading to and/or supporting innovative applications and extensions of new and existing technologies, products and/or businesses.
- Leading and supporting the implementation and scale-up of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing.
- Providing technical support to maintain and troubleshoot current technologies, resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Managing and executing product and technology transfers across manufacturing lines and locations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, quality, and operations to deliver business objectives.
- Applying statistical thinking and data analysis tools to evaluate processes, identify improvements, and drive performance.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex technical challenges.
- Opportunity to interface with customers to ensure technical success of customer projects
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or science field (completed and verified prior to start)
- Professional experience in scale-up and technology transfer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in English and Turkish
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong background in extrusion, microreplication, adhesive coating, and converting processes (planetary and level wound).
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
- Location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Cerkezkoy plant in Turkey.
- Travel expectations: May include up to 20% domestic/international
- Relocation: Not authorized
- Working pattern: Full time
