As a Cloud & Edge Engineer at 66degrees, you will bridge the gap between centralized cloud power and localized edge intelligence. You will design, build, and maintain complex infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) for global clients, with a specific focus on Manufacturing Edge environments. You will be instrumental in optimizing performance, scalability, and security from the data center to the factory floor.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with GCP, showcasing expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure.

• Direct experience with Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) and deploying solutions in edge/industrial environments.

• Proficiency in Kubernetes (GKE) and container orchestration at scale.

• Data Services: Skilled in optimizing BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Firestore, Bigtable, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.

• Edge Integration: Proven ability to integrate edge systems with cloud platforms ensuring secure, low-latency, and scalable data flow.

• Networking: Strong understanding of hybrid connectivity, VPCs, and secure edge-to-cloud networking.

• Expertise in Terraform or similar IaC tools.

• Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation and configuration management.

• Comfortable managing both Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve intricate infrastructure bottlenecks under pressure.

• Communication: Excellent ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer (Highly Preferred).
