Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise drug distribution activities at hospital and affiliated clinic to ensure clinical appropriateness and accuracy of individual patient’s drug treatment;
• Support the implementation of Hospital and Pharmacy policies, guidelines and procedures as well as professional standards;
• Maintain overall responsibility for Pharmacy operation in assigned areas; contribute to and maintain good working relationship with other healthcare professionals;
• Deliver and maintain clinical pharmacy services such as drug information, patient education & healthcare professional training, etc. to ensure rational and effective drug use in accordance with contemporary standards and best practice;
• Supervise and maintain appropriate supply and inventory management and support related inventory control activities including drug replenishment, stock take, etc.; and
• Assist Director of Pharmacy / Principal Pharmacist in monitoring of medication safety, performance of evaluations and audits, implementation of quality improvement initiatives, and other duties assigned

Job Requirements

• Degree Holder in Pharmacy or equivalent
• Registered Pharmacist with a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong
• At least 2 years’ post-registration experience; less experienced candidate including fresh graduate can be considered as Assistant Pharmacist
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organized
• Good communication and computer skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Knowledge in hospital pharmacy operations and Pharmacy IT systems

Compensation and Employment Terms

Appointment will be made on a 3-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
