WHO YOU ARE:
The ideal candidate will be able to plan and perform detailed on-site compliance reviews of financial programs and contractors of federal and state programs to determine compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and policies.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 
The Auditor IV performs  advanced and/or supervisory (senior-level) auditing work. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
- Plan, perform, and supervise detailed on-site monitoring evaluations through analyzing fiscal and program information determined from past on-site reviews, reports, and other sources to determine existing or potential areas/levels of risk for on-site monitoring evaluations.  
- Perform detailed on-site monitoring evaluations of TWC contractors to determine the degree of compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local Laws, rules, regulations and policies.  
- Prepare timely, accurate and complete reports of work performed.  
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding outcomes.  
- Supervise and evaluate staff assigned to monitoring reviews.  
- May present and provide training on monitoring issues and procedures to TWC and contractor staff.
- May be called to serve as a witness and provide testimony in administrative and/or judicial proceedings.  
- May assist in the development of monitoring tools and procedures.  
- Perform other duties and task as assigned

YOU QUALIFY WITH:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration, finance, economics or a related field; plus four years of full-time experience in: Accounting, program financial performance, or:
- IT auditing or,
- Management information systems analysis, business process analysis, contract monitoring, or
- Positions which provided extensive knowledge of agency
budgetary controls, or
- Administrative procedures and related state and federal regulatory laws.

Education and experience may substitute for one another.

- A license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas, a certificate to practice as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)or as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) will satisfy the educational requirement and two years of the non-supervisory or non-administrative management experience
- One year of full-time in-service experience classified as an Auditor III with regular status will satisfy the minimum qualifications.
