This position works out of our Plano, TX location in the Neuromodulation Division. Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.
We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Production Scheduler to join our Neuromodulation Global Supply Planning & Operations organization. Under general supervision, this role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating manufacturing schedules that align production output with finished goods demand to ensure timely shipment to customers. The Production Scheduler creates and manages schedules that support the achievement of zero backorders, healthy inventory levels, consistent schedule attainment, and targeted lead times, while also contributing to key internal financial performance metrics.
Develops and provides a detailed scheduling plan, largely for subassemblies, which supports the top level approved build plans, assuring quantity and mix are clearly communicated to manufacturing and other manufacturing groups.
Releases work orders in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and updates Kanban quantities to support build plans.
Reviews forecast data, backorder reports, and commodity/purchasing updates, including early warning signs, to prioritize and expedite manufacturing jobs to prevent or clear backorders.
Reviews and updates material master data on regular basis to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Manages safety stock in partnership with purchasing.
Approves and creates rework or special work orders in the ERP system Review and updates outdated open jobs which require rescheduling or closing.
Partner with purchasing and warehousing to minimize and dispose of slow moving, obsolete and expiring inventory.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Requirements

- Proficient in MS Office, strong Excel skills
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Ability to work onsite within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience, preferred experience in planning, supply chain, and/or in a highly-regulated manufacturing environment.
- APICS or other planning related certification preferred.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
