The Air Concierge will be responsible for providing an air reservation service with a focus on international air for AKTG APAC guests. You will be required to maintain all Air related admin tasks such as and not limited to Air Queues and Reissues. In addition, you will assist with staff training and support our DMC with Air Reservations & Ticketing including maintenance of their Air Reservations.

Responsibilities

  • Source and book the most suitable international airfares based on individual client needs.

  • Work closely with both the Operations and Sales team to ensure accuracy of flight information provided and service standards are met.

  • Provide airfare quotes for consultants to add to land enquiries within required timeframe.

  • Build and maintain flight reservations and ticketing training manuals and resources.

  • Assist with airfare training for Operations & Sales staff where required.

  • Monitor GDS queues.

  • Monitor and manage Issue of tickets, additional services and reissues

  • Assist with flight bookings for staff business travel.

  • Assist with after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis
     

  • Minimum of 1-2 years travel industry experience required

  • Fares & Ticketing experience

  • Previous experience in a Corporate, Wholesale or Retail Travel environment

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with high volume workload

  • A good understanding of airfare construction and wholesale airfares especially business class fares

  • Demonstrated knowledge of international AKTG destinations

  • A demonstrated understanding of sales principles and prior experience in a travel sales environment

  • Extensive experience using Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS)

  • Experience in using an in-house travel system (Travel Studio experience would be considered an advantage)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)

  • Committed to the highest level of customer service

  • High degree of attention to detail.

  • Excellent communications skills – both written & verbal

  • Team player

  • Willingness to take on challenges.

  • Strong time management skills are essential.

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Demonstrated understanding of the requirements of high-end clients

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment with high-touch expectations

  • Australian work authorisation is required for this position
