Cox & Kings Travel Consultant

Job Description:
The Travel Consultant is responsible for selling and servicing all Cox & Kings programs for existing Cox & Kings clients and build upon our rapidly growing client base. This role will be creating memorable journeys, looking after the client from initial contact through to building itineraries, confirming travel arrangements, making contact upon their return, and setting up their next exciting experience of Cox & Kings.
Responsibilities

Meet and exceed established sales targets

Assist guests and Travel Advisors with all group programs, pre/post accommodations, upgrades and custom extensions

Ensure all booking details are complete and accurate in accordance with department guidelines and expectations
- →
Manage CRM leads and guest interactions, ensuring timely follow-up and accuracy

Maximize conversions by following up on Options and Quotes in an established timeframe

Demonstrate competency in product knowledge and booking conditions
- →
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current product offerings by attending regularly scheduled department meetings and training/product briefing sessions

Manage inbound calls and enquiries from guests and travel advisors, ensuring prompt, professional, and effective customer service

Design and coordinate journeys, customizing recommendations and travel arrangements to individual requirements.

Communicate booking timelines and travel requirements clearly to guests and advisors throughout the sales process.

Ensure timely delivery of standard documentation

Maintain a minimum number of calls and handling time per department guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on telephone sales
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
Strong worldwide geographic, destination, cultural, and world affairs knowledge
Drive to achieve results, initiate personal goals, and close sales
Technical skills required (Microsoft Office) and the ability to quickly master new systems
Good judgment and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent inter-personal skills
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
High School diploma required
Two years of travel industry experience required
Two years of sales experience required
Requirements

International travel may be required (and maintain a current passport)
Hourly position with annual earnings of $40,000 - $45,000; with additional earning potential through sales incentives.
