Job Summary

Work embedded as part of an agile team to produce, test, document and review source code that delivers platform features & components of service.

The Junior Storage Engineer is responsible for supporting the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise storage infrastructure. The role assists in ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of storage systems while contributing to backup, disaster recovery, and capacity management initiatives.

Responsibilities

→Monitor storage systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
→Perform routine health checks on storage arrays and SAN infrastructure.
→Assist in configuring, provisioning, and expanding storage volumes and LUNs.
→Support backup and recovery operations.
→Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
→Troubleshoot storage-related incidents and escalate complex issues when necessary.
→Assist with firmware and software upgrades on storage devices.
→Maintain documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and changes.
→Monitor storage capacity and generate utilization reports.
→Work with server, virtualization, database, and network teams to support infrastructure projects.
→Ensure compliance with security policies and data protection standards.
→Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-call support when required.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Computer Engineering
- or related field

2 years of experience in IT Infrastructure or Storage Administration.
Internship or graduate programme experience in enterprise infrastructure is advantageous.

Basic understanding of:

Storage Area Networks (SAN)
Network Attached Storage (NAS)
Enterprise storage platforms (Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, Hitachi, Pure Storage, etc.)
Storage monitoring tools
Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs)
Basic understanding of Cloud (AWS, azure) architecture

Education
