Marine Electrician (Cairo, IL)

• →Inspects and services of electrical equipment during overhaul to ensure safe operations and prevent future breakdowns.
• →Track, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance on any electrical vessel system.
• →Research and order parts for repairs while maintaining proper inventory to support emergency repairs.
• →Complete service calls on vessels to make required repairs as needed.
• →Work with maintenance crew, vendor, and vessel crew when needed to complete repairs such as electrical, plumbing, or mechanical repairs.
• →Advises leadership and boat crew of technical information and electrical guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.
• →Document all work performed in the maintenance database.
• →Performs all other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for... 

You will need to have: 

• →High School Diploma/GED
• →Valid Driver's License
• →Reliable transportation to and from work
• →5+ years marine electrical maintenance experience and repair of associated equipment
• →Ability to acquire TWIC
• →Ability to be on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks
• →Ability to occasionally travel overnight 
• →Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen

Even better if you have the following: 

• →Prior towboat troubleshooting and repair experience
• →Electrician Certification/License
• →Experience working aboard boats
