Acorn is looking for an experienced Sr. Mechanical Engineer that can also manage projects to take a technical leadership position and help guide our team of engineers to create innovative, world class products. This position requires a broad design engineering background in robotics and automation.

This is an onsite position based out of our Newark, CA office, with a 2 day per week remote work option.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a mechanical engineering team designing products with multiple, powered DOFs.
  • Design, build and testing of systems and critical components
  • Brainstorm, design, and compare potential product architectures against client metrics.
  • Identify and perform critical engineering analyses and tests from concept evaluations to production verification
  • Assist client to define product specifications, schedules and resource planning
  • Manage project budget, schedule, and deliverables as the primary point of contact with clients. Coordinate work with other engineers across multiple offices.
