Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Dentist who is responsible for providing dental services for individuals living at a Supported Living Center and certain identified individuals living in community-based settings, including advanced dental care and treatment to elevate the oral hygiene of all individuals. JOB QUICK FACTS: • Ref: BD-673-16 • Profession: Dentist • Location: Carlsbad, Tom Green County, Texas • Job Type: Contract - 3 months, with potential for extension • Facility Type: Residential Facility • Start Date: ASAP • Shifts: Monday - Friday; 8 am - 5 pm, no holidays REQUIREMENTS: • Must be licensed as a dentist by the State of Texas with no restrictions • Must have current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) • Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#) • Must be certified by the American Heart Association – BLS in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services. Copies of CPR certifications must be kept on file. • Must submit to HHSC required drug test • Must submit to HHSC required fingerprinting • Must complete facility and HHSC required training • Must comply with HHSC immunization requirements • Must abide by staffing agency and MSSLC’s attendance and leave policy • Must abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and SGSSLC. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide dental services for patients both routine and non-routine • Perform documentation of all services provided • Perform various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Medical Director • Follow facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet Joint Commission, CMS, BSH, and facility accreditation standards and directives • Implement best and safe practices in treatment, dental services to include: comprehensive exams, limited exams, emergency exams, restorative procedures, simple extractions, crown preservation, denture cases, and work alongside and Anesthesia provider for complete oral rehabilitation.
