JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: L-MD-46347 Profession: Physician Specialty: Diagnostic/Interventional Radiology/Breast-only Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Detroit/Commerce Township, MI Service Setting: Telehealth/Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical only Coverage Period: ASAP – Apr 01, 2027 Shift Schedule: At least 7 shifts per month Telehealth: Night shift, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM EST Onsite: Interventional Rad: Mon - Fri, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Commerce Township) Breast-only: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; 2 to 3 days per week (Detroit) Reason for Coverage: Scheduling Need Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION Ave. No. of ED Mixed Cases per 8-hr shifts: 80-130 (Breast-Only: 40-50 patients per day) Rounding: Unassigned patients Case Mix: ED mixed cases (Diagnostic); Vascular and Non-Vascular & Emergency IR Procedures (Interventional Radiology) FACILITY INFORMATION EMR: Cerner Office Equipment Available: PACS (Sectra), Dictation (Powerscribe), Workstation PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Licensed in MI DEA waiver required (Telehealth) & DEA required for onsite Certification: BLS Clean record Case Logs Current NPDB report Local only (in Detroit for Breast-only) Other Qualifications: Resident teaching experience required, clean malpractice history, case logs required Duties & Responsibilities Provide diagnostic radiology interpretation for emergency department cases remotely. Supervise and teach radiology residents during overnight shifts. Utilize PACS (Sectra) and dictation software (Powerscribe) for reporting. Manage high volume of mixed ED cases (80-130 per shift). Maintain clean malpractice record and submit case logs as required. Breast-only: On-site coverage to support; screening & diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, proficiency in image-guided procedures such as biopsies, localizations, and aspirations. Must be highly knowledgeable in BI-RADS and MQSA requirements, detail-oriented in reporting, and comfortable managing same-day diagnostic workups, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, clinic-based environment while collaborating closely with technologists, nurses, surgeons, and oncology teams. Requires specialized skills in Screening Mammography 45-55% (about 35-40 per shift), Diagnostics 25-35%, Procedures 15-25%
