JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Clinton, NC 28328 Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2026 – Aug 12, 2026 Shift Schedule: Night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Travel (capped at $500), lodging in hospital-owned apartments, and malpractice insurance covered by agency COVERAGE DATES Aug 01, 2026 – Aug 02, 2026 Aug 10, 2026 – Aug 11, 2026 SPECIFIC SHIFTS TO FILL Week of Aug 01, 2026: Sat, Sun (7 PM – 7 AM) Week of Aug 10, 2026: Mon, Tue (7 PM – 7 AM) PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 18-20 patients per shift FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: MediTech 6.1 Support Staff: PA/NPs: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Certified) Licenses: Licensed in NC or Universal License (IMLC) Other Qualifications: Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS Duties & Responsibilities Provide solo emergency medical care for 12-hour night shifts in a combined inpatient/outpatient emergency department Supervise and collaborate with 2 advanced practice providers (PA/NPs) in a split coverage model Manage a broad spectrum of acute presentations, including critical care in an open ICU setting Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in Meditech 6.1 EMR Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers with hospitalist and specialty services as appropriate
