JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Emergency Medicine • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Harlingen, TX • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: October 1, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Rotating 12-hour day & night shifts PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: All ages • Patient Volume/Census: High-volume acute care setting • Admissions: Yes • Case Mix: Emergency Medicine cases FACILITY INFORMATION • Trauma Level: Level III • Office Equipment Available: Standard ED equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Multidisciplinary teams • Support Staff Available: ED staff and hospital teams PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Cross-Credentialing Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Emergency Medicine procedures • Trauma care • Critical care management JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active TX license required • Board: Board Certified ABEM or ABOEM required • DEA: Required • Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS • Experience: Emergency Medicine experience required • Other Qualifications: Ability to rotate across multiple facilities and work day/night shifts DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide emergency department coverage across multiple sites • Evaluate and treat acute and critical patients • Manage patient flow in high-volume settings • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
