JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-126231 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas Coverage Period: Mar 31, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Varied shifts (6a-3p, 8a-6p, 10a-10p, 2p-12a, 6p-4a, 10p-6a) Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 132 patients per day Case Mix: Consistent with Level II Trauma Center, regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neurosciences, orthopedics, oncology, critical care, and pulmonary conditions FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level II Specialty Backup Available: Yes (cardiology, trauma, neurosciences, orthopedics, oncology, critical care, pulmonary) Support Staff Available: 60 MDs, 12 NPPAs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60-90 days JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: ABEM/ABEM eligible or ABPS/EM Licenses: Active AR medical license, AR DEA license DEA / CDS: Active DEA required Certifications: ATLS required; ACLS and PALS not required Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine required Other Qualifications: Current CV, Driver's License, CME activity (last 2 years), TB Test/Flu within 12 months, COVID vaccination DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care to patients in a Level II Trauma Center. Manage high patient volume (average 132 patients/day) with a 30% admit rate. Work various shifts including days, mids, and nights as part of a 60 MD / 12 NPPA coverage model. Perform emergency procedures consistent with Level II trauma center. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including nursing and advanced practice providers.
