JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Endocrinologist • Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time • Location: Carrollton, GA • Service Setting: Outpatient • Schedule: Monday – Friday daytime clinic schedule • On-Call Expectations: Minimal / Rotational as required by group PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE • Patient Demographics: Adults with endocrine and metabolic disorders • Average Daily Volume / Census: Approximately 18–22 patients per day • Admissions & Rounding: Not Included – Outpatient practice • Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes • Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Diabetes management, thyroid disorders, metabolic disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and other endocrine conditions FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS • EMR System: EPIC systemwide with Abridge AI medical scribe assistant • Specialty Backup: Full specialty support available through Tanner Health System • Support Staff: Established care team including Advanced Practice Provider and experienced nursing/support staff • Leadership & Reporting Structure: Employed position within Tanner Medical Group • Reason for Opening: Growth within the region and expansion of endocrine services for a service area exceeding 400,000 residents CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE • Board Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology • DEA & Certifications: Active DEA required; BLS certification preferred • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60–90 days COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS • Relocation Assistance: Up to $14,000 moving allowance • Student Loan Repayment: Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) • CME Allowance: CME allowance and paid CME days included • PTO & Holidays: Generous PTO and paid holidays • Health & Retirement Benefits: • Medical, Dental, Vision coverage • 401(k) or 403(b) retirement plan with employer participation • Life and disability insurance • Malpractice insurance coverage • Additional Incentives: $50,000 sign-on bonus and $50,000 starting incentive REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology • State License Required: Eligible for or able to obtain Georgia medical license • Certifications: DEA required; BLS or equivalent clinical certification preferred • Experience: Open to both experienced physicians and new graduates • Additional Requirements: Strong interest in diabetes and endocrine disease management within a collaborative practice environment DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide comprehensive endocrine care including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of endocrine disorders • Manage patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, metabolic disease, and related conditions • Coordinate care with primary care physicians and specialty providers across the Tanner Health System • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care programs COMMUNITY & LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS • About the Area: Carrollton is a growing community in west Georgia known for its welcoming atmosphere, strong healthcare presence, and convenient access to metropolitan areas. • Local Attractions: The Carrollton GreenBelt trail system, local parks, arts venues, and nearby outdoor recreation opportunities. • School System: Highly rated public and private school options available within Carroll County. • Housing: Diverse housing options including family neighborhoods, new developments, and rural properties with competitive home prices compared to larger metro areas. • Demographic & Professional Profile: Family-friendly community with a growing population of professionals and healthcare workers. • Nearby Cities: Approximately 45 miles west of Atlanta. • Nearest Airport: Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport • Distance from Airport: Approximately 50 miles – about 1 hour by car
