JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: 104586 Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Fargo, ND 58103 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Nov 19, 2026 – Sep 01, 2027 Call Schedule: 24-hr Laborist coverage Call Type: In-House Call Response Time: 30 mins Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Support Staff; Midwives (must be comfortable working with them) Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered COVERAGE DATES Nov 20, 23-29 Dec 3, 8, 14, 23-31 Jan 1-3 PATIENT INFORMATION Case Mix: OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery, VBACs, C-sections Deliveries: 120/month FACILITY INFORMATION Beds in Department: 16 LDRP rooms EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Low & High Risk Pregnancy FHR interpretation OB Ultrasounds Routine & complicated Delivery VBACs, C-Section Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office and Surgical GYN JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Licenses: ND or IMLC Fellowship: Required Experience: Epic experience strongly preferred Other Qualifications: Comfortable working with a Midwife; comfortable with VBACs and c-sections Duties & Responsibilities Provide laborist coverage for obstetrics and gynecology in an inpatient setting Manage labor and delivery, including routine vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections Handle high-risk obstetric cases, including VBACs, breech deliveries, and multiple births Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage (3–4 shifts per month) with overnight stay at hotel until called in
