Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Dietitian to provide services at a facility in Weston, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will coordinate with facility physicians, dietary staff, and nursing personnel to ensure residents receive appropriate nutritional care in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Job Quick Facts: • Reference #: BD-1358-01 • Profession: Allied Health • Specialty: Licensed Dietitian • Location: Weston, West Virginia • Facility Type: Psychiatric facility • Job Type: Contract • Contract Term: Potential for a long-term contract • Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm (40 hours/week, with at least two onsite days per week for 8 hours/day. Offsite work allowed for remaining hours). • Rate: $40 per hour, $0.45 per mile mileage reimbursement Requirements: • Active West Virginia Licensed Dietitian license • Registered with the West Virginia Board of Licensed Dietitians • Minimum 1 year of clinical dietitian experience preferred • Experience with behavioral health, long-term care, or hospital settings preferred Responsibilities: • Provide full-time clinical dietitian consulting services • Review and evaluate all new admissions within the first seven calendar days. • Monitor tube feeding residents’ charts at least monthly. • Conduct nutritional assessments including annual, significant change, and new admissions. • Recommend diet changes to facility physicians based on lab values and nutritional needs. • Review diet orders for appropriateness monthly or as needed and provide recommendations. • Monitor diabetic residents’ charts weekly; monitor charts for residents with decubitus ulcers monthly. • Participate in treatment team meetings and oversee weekly weight management meetings as requested. • Provide staff in-service training for dietary and nursing staff during normal business hours. • Develop seasonal menus for special diets and assist with menu approvals. • Document findings in the resident electronic medical record and train on EMR systems as needed. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements and complete required HIPAA training.
