Adelphi is seeking a Psychologist to provide on-call psychological services for the Honolulu Police Department in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will deliver psychological assessments, emergency interventions, critical incident response, consultation, and debriefing services through both on-site and remote delivery methods. This role supports the mental health and operational readiness of HPD employees by providing timely psychological care, crisis response, and consultation services related to critical incidents and emergency evaluations. Work Requirements: • Be available 24/7 to provide required services when the HPD staff psychologist is unavailable. • Respond to scenes of critical incidents in support of HPD employees as requested. • Provide in-person support for group debriefings following critical incidents. • Conduct critical incident debriefings within 48 hours for incidents resulting in death. • Conduct critical incident debriefings within 72 hours for incidents not resulting in death. • Respond in a timely manner to requests for emergency evaluations and assessments. • Provide semi-annual usage reports including transaction date, City agency, items purchased, quantity purchased, and transaction amount. Responsibilities: • Provide on-call psychological services and respond to critical incidents in support of HPD employees when the HPD psychologist is unavailable and in accordance with departmental policies. • Provide consultation and services for employees requiring immediate psychological assessment or assistance. • Deliver emergency psychological support to HPD employees as needed. • Conduct MH-1 assessments for felony cases involving arrests, as requested by investigators. • Perform MH-1 evaluations when attempts to reach the designated mental health emergency worker have failed. • Provide consultation to HPD administration and/or testimony in legal proceedings, as requested, regarding psychological matters.
