JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-MD-3445813 Profession: Physician Specialty: Urology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: York, PA Service Setting: Clinic or Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Sep 14, 2026 – Dec 14, 2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8a – 5p (8 hour) On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour call PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults (18+); occasional pediatric emergency torsion Patient Volume/Census: 24-28 patients per day Case Mix: Urology procedures (cystoscopy, stent, vasectomy, prostate, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, orchiopexy) and office visits FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: EPIC Office Equipment Available: Cystoscope and Towers, Injections Support Staff Available: RNs: 1, MAs: 4, Office Staff: 1 Reason for Coverage: Ongoing coverage needed PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (for urgent needs, non-complex/clean files) Credentialing Timeline: 90 days (temporary privileges available with clean file) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Vasectomy Vasectomy reversal (not mandatory) Cystoscopy (in OR) Prostate procedures Ureteroscopy (in OR) Penile plication Penile implants (rare) Lithotripsy Circumcision (OB manages for children; rare on call) Orchiopexy Robotic surgery JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Pennsylvania License or Universal License (IMLC) Board: BC or BE in Urology DEA: Required Experience: Minimum 1 year DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide clinic coverage Monday through Friday, 8a – 5p, seeing 24-28 patients per day for office visits and cysto/stent procedures Provide 24-hour call coverage, including emergency torsion cases at York Hospital Perform urological surgeries such as vasectomy, vasectomy reversal, cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, orchiopexy, prostate procedures, penile plication, penile implants, and robotic surgery Supervise and support new NP/PAs in the department Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and coordinate with 4 MAs, 1 CSA, and 1 RN in the office/clinic setting
