Our Shared Services team, which includes People Operations, Finance, IT and Security, and Contracts, provides internal services and support across Ad Hoc. Shared Services works to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall quality of services provided to the company's various teams and business units. By streamlining and standardizing support, Shared Services allows teams and business units to focus on their core business functions and achieve greater effectiveness internally and with the agencies they support.
About the Role
~1 min readAs a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll support full-cycle recruiting across a variety of technical and non-technical positions while developing your skills as a trusted recruiting partner.
You’ll work closely with hiring managers, recruiters, and Talent Acquisition leadership to understand hiring needs, source and engage candidates, coordinate interviews, manage candidate communication, and support the offer process.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has built a foundation in recruiting and is ready to take on greater ownership of requisitions while continuing to grow their sourcing, stakeholder management, and full-cycle recruiting skills.
You may also gain exposure to federal government contracting, proposal recruiting, contingent hiring, and proactive talent pipeline development.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage assigned requisitions through the recruiting lifecycle, from intake and sourcing through interviews and offer coordination
- →Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership to understand role requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring priorities
- →Source and engage qualified candidates using LinkedIn, sourcing platforms, internal databases, referrals, and other recruiting channels
- →Conduct recruiter screens and evaluate candidates against established role requirements
- →Present qualified candidates to hiring teams with clear and accurate recruiting notes and recommendations
- →Coordinate with candidates and internal stakeholders throughout the interview and selection process
- →Maintain consistent candidate communication and provide a positive candidate experience
- →Maintain accurate candidate, requisition, and pipeline information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- →Track recruiting activity, candidate sources, interview progress, and other recruiting metrics
- →Build and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring and anticipated hiring needs
- →Participate in recruiting meetings, hiring manager intake sessions, and team planning discussions
- →Identify recruiting challenges, candidate concerns, or hiring blockers and escalate them appropriately
- →Support offer preparation, candidate follow-up, and closing activities in partnership with Talent Acquisition leadership and People Operations
- →Contribute ideas and feedback that improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and team efficiency
As you develop in the role, you may also support Ad Hoc’s federal contracting and growth efforts by:
- Sourcing and engaging candidates for anticipated or pre-award positions
- Supporting contingent hiring and offer activities
- Maintaining communication with candidates associated with upcoming contract opportunities
- Building talent pipelines for priority technical and professional skill sets
- Supporting recruiting research and pipeline development for proposals and future hiring needs
Requirements
~1 min read- 1-3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience in an agency, in-house, RPO, staffing, or similar environment
- Experience supporting multiple requisitions or searches simultaneously
- Experience sourcing and engaging candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools
- Experience working within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Experience conducting candidate screens or participating in candidate evaluation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments in a remote environment
- Comfortable learning new recruiting processes, technologies, and hiring requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
- 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience
- Experience recruiting for technology, software engineering, product, design, data, DevOps, or other technical roles
- Experience supporting federal government contracting or government-related hiring
- Exposure to proposal recruiting, contingent hiring, or pre-award talent pipelines
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers
- Familiarity with labor categories or structured qualification requirements
- Experience with ClearCompany or a similar ATS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
