Under minimal supervision, applies advanced internal predictive maintenance capabilities at our customer factory sites. Performs a combination of technical (hands-on) and computer based data analysis of findings from all predictive technologies. Provides high level support of current predictive processes and procedures related to Ultrasound, Infrared Thermography, and Vibration principles.

 

Responsibilities

· Performs expert-level data collection, analysis, and report generation for predictive maintenance activities using technologies such as thermal imaging, ultrasound assessments, vibration analysis, and oil analysis.

· Develops implementation plans and schedules to apply predictive maintenance techniques at our factory sites.

· Implements, coordinates and monitors the application of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.

· Evaluates effectiveness of predictive maintenance procedures and makes adjustments as necessary to increase the value of our offerings.

· Develops cooperative maintenance plans, root cause analysis, and recommends processes improvements.

· Works with Site Managers and Planners to develop the basis of a reliability maintenance program.

· Creates professional reports and detailed training manuals.

· Provides on-site high level training for ATS technicians in all principles of Predictive Maintenance, Ultrasound – Airborne and Structural, Infrared Thermographic Imaging for both electrical and mechanical, and Vibration data collection.

· Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Effectively presents information to top management and customers.

· Travels approximately 30% of the time.

 

· Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in electrical/electronic technology, mechanical technology, or manufacturing technology; or combination of partial completion of education and a minimum of 5 years' experience.

· Electrical/electronic specialty: 5 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining factory floor equipment with emphasis on electrical/electronic systems. Must be proficient with basic mechanical/hydraulic concepts related to machine tools and must have an excellent understanding of machine diagnostics.

· Mechanical specialty: 5 years of experience in vibration analysis or laser operations, machine alignments, and general machine tool maintenance. Must be proficient in troubleshooting complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and have good knowledge of electric basic circuits.

· ISO CAT II certification in Vibration. Level I Thermo/Infrared and Ultrasound.

 

· ISO CAT I certification in Lubrication/Oil Analysis.

· ISO CAT III certification in Vibration.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
