CVOR Surgical Service Nurse Aide

• Assesses patients' needs and provides appropriate care under the supervision of an RN and physician. 
• Prepares patients for surgery, ensuring they are ready for procedures. Assists in moving, positioning, and prepping patients for surgical procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of surgical areas, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized and available.
• Stocks surgical areas with necessary supplies, linens, PPE, and hand sanitizer.
• Monitors and maintains warming cabinets with blankets and fluids.
• Cleans and stores equipment properly after use.
• Transports patients to ICU or other departments as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned under the direction and supervision of the OR Director/Manager/Supervisor/Charge RN.
• Transports blood products from the blood bank to the OR safely and efficiently.
• Runs for equipment and supplies as needed during procedures. 
• Disposes of linens, regular waste, hazardous waste, and sharps containers in appropriate disposal areas.

• Basic computer and keyboarding skills [Required]
• Excellent communication skills [Required]

• High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]

• High School or GED upon hire

•  1+ experience in an operating room [Preferred]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
