Maintenance Supervisor

Supervises and manages all aspects of the Maintenance functions in the manufacture of disc brake calipers, anti-lock braking systems and electric parking brake.  Ensures that the support required to aid the manufacturing process is available, and efficient, using an employee involvement and continuous improvement approach.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or 5 to 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must be able to function in a team environment by working with, and cooperating with others.

Must be able to clearly communicate in both written and oral forms with others. 

Should be pro-actively involved in the improvement process, and promote its use within the area.

Must understand basic electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, and know standards of safety relating to these disciplines.

Must understand preventive and predictive maintenance procedures. 

Must understand tool room processes.
