Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and agency standards.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions targeting speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and safe swallowing practices.
  • Assess and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and physicians.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards.
  • Degree from an accredited SLP program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Michigan.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
