AGE Solutions is looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer for the European Region. The Senior Network Engineer – Europe serves as the technical lead for enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure for our DoD customer across the European region. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining mission-critical network infrastructure, resolving complex network issues, developing network standards, and ensuring compliance with government policies. The position serves as the primary technical advisor for network operations and collaborates with government personnel, vendors, and technical teams to support secure, reliable, and high-performing healthcare networks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, administration, and support of enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN environments.
  • Serve as the regional technical subject matter expert and primary escalation point for network operations.
  • Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and network performance issues across all OSI layers.
  • Configure and support Cisco networking equipment, firewalls, VPNs, IDS, and network security solutions.
  • Monitor network performance using SolarWinds Orion, Armis, Ansible, and other enterprise management tools.
  • Develop and maintain network standards, procedures, technical documentation, and change management records.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, DHA, and European Regional Command policies and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, customer support, and coordination with government and contractor teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of directly related network engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are required.
  • Must have and maintain a current DoD Secret clearance.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) healthcare information systems or other large-scale, mission-critical enterprise network environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise LAN, WLAN, and WAN design, implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Expertise with Cisco networking technologies, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, SolarWinds Orion, Armis, and Ansible.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SNMP, VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network security best practices.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex routing, switching, and network performance issues across all layers of the OSI model.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles and enterprise cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience developing and maintaining network standards, technical documentation, change management processes, and operational procedures.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with government personnel, technical teams, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to support multiple priorities, lead technical initiatives, and serve as the senior technical escalation point for network operations.
  • This position is based in Ramstein, Germany and is primarily performed in an office or government facility supporting enterprise network operations.
  • Approximately 50% travel to customer sites or data centers within the European Region may be required.
  • The role requires prolonged computer use, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and occasional bending, climbing, or working in telecommunications spaces to install or maintain network equipment.
  • Participation in after-hours maintenance and on-call support may be required to ensure continuous operation of mission-critical network infrastructure.

The projected salary range for this position is $125,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
