Job Description Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of electronic and automation hardware systems.
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of electronic and automation hardware systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in creating robust hardware platforms, integrating automation solutions, and driving innovations across the full product lifecycle—from concept and prototyping to validation, production, and sustaining support. This role requires strong hands-on engineering capability, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of hardware design for reliability, manufacturability, and testability.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design and develop electronic schematics and automation-related hardware for new product platforms, test systems, and engineering prototypes.
- →Own the hardware design lifecycle, including requirements definition, feasibility studies, architecture development, schematic design, prototyping, validation, and transition to manufacturing.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, test engineering, manufacturing, suppliers) to ensure seamless hardware–software integration and system-level performance.
- →Apply DFX principles—Design for Manufacturability, Testability, Automation, Reliability, and Cost—to improve hardware robustness and efficiency.
- →Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues during development, verification, pilot builds, and sustaining phases.
- →Develop and support automation hardware for production, including fixture electronics, sensors, control boards, and interface modules.
- →Conduct design reviews, FMEA/Risk assessments, and ensure regulatory/industry compliance where applicable.
- →Maintain precise engineering documentation, BOMs, schematics, design notes, and revision control according to internal processes and quality standards.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field (required).
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware design, automation hardware development, or R&D hardware engineering.
- Strong proficiency in schematic design tools (Altium, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of PCB layout principles, component selection, and design best practices.
- Experience with automation hardware such as sensors, actuators, motor drivers, control electronics, or test fixture circuitry (preferred).
- Understanding of embedded systems and hardware–firmware-software interfaces.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills in both development and sustaining environments.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
