The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Software Developer who is passionate about building exceptional user experiences and shaping a scalable, modern front-end architecture. You take full ownership of your domain, guiding architectural choices and delivering high‑quality work autonomously. You establish coding standards, champion best practices, and strengthen team workflows through mentorship and example, all while demonstrating operational excellence in incident response and root-cause analysis. You communicate complex ideas clearly, mentor junior engineers, collaborate effectively with peers, and advise leadership on technical feasibility and long-term implications. Driven by craftsmanship and impact, you design elegant, scalable systems and elevate engineering practices as a collaborative team player who shares knowledge generously. 
  • Architect, design, and implement front-end infrastructure, reusable UI components, and scalable frameworks. 
  • Build intuitive, resilient, and high-performing features for a large-scale platform.
  • Lead and contribute to all phases of the engineering process, including Agile planning, design reviews, documentation, and releases. 
  • Drive technical decision‑making within your subsystem/domain and influence broader front‑end direction. 
  • Improve quality, performance, and reliability while proactively reducing technical debt. 
  • Turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements and actionable solutions. 
  • Mentor junior engineers (SDE1–SDE2) and collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering Managers on priorities, feasibility, and trade-offs. 
  • Act as an escalation point during incidents, leading recovery and root‑cause analysis efforts. 
  • Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and tools (React, Vue.js, Angular, webpack, npm/yarn, Vite). 
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and large-scale, maintainable codebases. 
  • Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright. 
  • Deep understanding of state management for complex applications (Redux, Vuex, Zustand, Pinia, etc.). 
  • Experience designing and integrating with REST APIs. 
  • Solid understanding of QA practices, debugging, and cross-functional engineering workflows. 
  • Work on meaningful problems that power the backbone of the airline industry.
  • Build production-grade software that scales globally and impacts millions of passengers.
  • Collaborate with brilliant engineers in a high-trust, low-ego environment.
  • Operate with autonomy and ownership - your ideas will shape our products.
  • Exposure to modern technologies, cloud environments, and complex system design.

    • Please note that this role requires three days a week in our Toronto office which is located near Union Station
