We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Odessa, TX location who is energetic, highly motivated, well organized, a self-starter with strong commitment to safety. This mechanic should be a strong teammate with ability to work well with fellow mechanics, drivers, and operations personnel.

Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as necessary on tractors and tanker trailers.

Document/record repair work performed electronically on computer-based vehicle maintenance system.
- →
Perform road repairs when necessary.
- →
Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical, air brake components/systems.
- →
Perform electrical/electronic diagnosis repairs on tractors and trailers.
- →
Gas and electrical welding experience preferred.
- →
Help plant operations as needed.
- →
Participation in company safety, training, environmental and improvement programs

Perform cryogenic maintenance to include repair/replacing valves, pumps, etc.

Calibrate pump discharge meters.

Load trailers
- →
Wash fleet equipment
- →
Housekeeping
- →
Handle inventory for spare tires and fleet equipment parts
- →
Handle fleet fuels and lubricants.
- →
Perform delivery operation environmental and safety tasks.

Assist plant operations maintenance.

Requirements

Class A CDL preferred (not required)
Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills
Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety
Strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechanics/drivers/operations personnel
Solid work history
Ability to drive a tractor
Welding knowledge and experience
Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12-volt DC circuits
Diesel engine troubleshooting and minor repair experience
This is a safety sensitive position
