Are you looking for an opportunity to work at a production facility where you can make a positive impact on others? Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking a Site Supervisor - Gen Gas to join our team and provide operational and administrative support to our standalone Air Separation plant in Morris, IL. This plant produces nitrogen for pipeline customers. You’ll have the chance to work closely with our existing Area Manager and report directly to the Site Manager, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of this critical facility.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry, preferably with Air Separation facilities or complex process operation and maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Self-starter capable of planning activities for safe and reliable operations
  • Willing to work alone and handle 24-hour on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • →Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at the facility to ensure continuous production of oxygen and nitrogen for pipeline customers
  • →Participate in the Basic Safety Process and ensure the site’s overall safety performance
  • →Work with customers on technical and supply matters, building strong relationships
  • →Provide hands-on support for mechanical repairs, instrument calibrations, and electrical troubleshooting as needed
  • →Investigate equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence
  • →Follow Operating Procedures and Global Safety Standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry with a focus on complex processes

This position will require you to take 24-hour on-call responsibilities and work independently. You should reside within 30 minutes of the Morris facilities to respond after hours as needed.
