This position is to provide process design and process technical service to HyCO plants in Southeast Asia wholly owned, JV and subsidiary companies as part of on-going productivity, new plant start up and commissioning and technical troubleshooting initiatives.
This position is responsible for providing process and plant engineering support for production facilities and associated businesses in Southeast Asia as well as those in Asia, mainly. The incumbent provides engineering leadership to drive asset performance which includes process engineering, troubleshooting, plant efficiency, process safety, equipment reliability, advanced controls, asset management and productivity project support to the HyCO plants in this area.
This position reports to the Plant Process Engineering Manager –Asia and is Actively aligned to the Global Leads in Global Operation Excellence team as part of Asia Operations this position is expected to interface with the other regional process support teams for global sharing of best practices and consistent work processes.
Provide process and plant engineering technical support to maintain efficient and reliable product supplies to HyCO plants across all countries in Southeast Asia.
Identifying, leading, and completing Asset Management productivity projects aimed at improving efficiency, cost position, plant capacity and/or reliability.
Providing plant/process technical support including troubleshooting and resolution of operating problems, plant optimization controls and strategies, plant reliability and product supply issues.
Provide support for capital projects (capacity, efficiency upgrades, training, start up & commissioning) as requested by Project Delivery Organization, Plant Project organization and Plant Maintenance organization.
Assist sites teams in monitoring energy efficiency relative to budget and drive year-to-year improvements.
Engagement with Operation team and Plant Mgrs, Global Engineering Service Mgrs and Business Leads to align with asset management opportunities and commercial priorities.
Provide Advanced Controls (MPC, APACS) implementation and plant tuning support.
Provide technical and safety reviews for Management of Change’s and drive process safety compliance as part of engineering reviews.
Provide process safety supported to the facilities, including Operating Process Hazard Reviews and corrective actions, supporting RCA investigations, and BSP leadership.
Provide turnaround support.
Requirements

Demonstrate engineering and technical skills.
Solid leadership capabilities including planning, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal) in English are essential to the position.
A minimum of a BS engineering degree (CHE preferred) and 8+ years experience in Engineering and/or operations is required.
Willing to work based in Banting/Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
Previous experience in Large SMR operations is a plus.
Previous experience in H2 PSA is a plus.
Previous experience in PHG is a plus.
Fluent in English reading, writing and speaking is must.
Speaking and writing Bahasa Melayu (Malaysia), Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesia) or Mandarin as second language is a plus.
