With the move to the cloud, Kubernetes has become widely adopted by DevOps and Platform Engineering teams, but it has also added complexity. While scaling Kubernetes at Intuit, the Akuity founders started building Argo CD in order to streamline the adoption of Kubernetes. Argo CD helps developers own, understand and deploy their K8s deployments via GitOps.
Today, Argo CD is the third most popular project in the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) and is used by 70% of companies who are using Kubernetes in production. The list of Argo CD users includes companies like Intuit, BlackRock, Tesla, Major League Baseball, Peloton, and many more.
The team founded Akuity in 2021 to enable enterprises to ship software faster and more reliably with modern GitOps best practices. The Akuity Platform enables teams to manage the development and deployment across hundreds โ if not thousands โ of Kubernetes clusters from a single control plane. Trusted by top companies around the globe, the Akuity Platform provides the only end-to-end GitOps platform for the enterprises.

We're looking for a Founding Recruiter to own talent acquisition at Akuity as we scale. This is a true individual contributor role where you'll be the person running the searches, building the processes, and setting the standard for how Akuity hires.
You'll partner directly with founders and hiring managers across Go-to-Market and Engineering to find and close exceptional talent in one of the most competitive hiring markets in tech. This isn't a role for someone who needs a playbook handed to them, you get to build it. Responsibilities
~2 min readOwn Full-Cycle Recruiting Across All Functions
- โLead end-to-end searches across Go-to-Market (Sales, Sales Engineering, CSM, Technical Marketing) and Engineering (DevOps, Platform, Infrastructure)
- โRun structured intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, sourcing strategy, and success criteria before any search begins
- โLead team kickoff meetings to align all interviewers on role context, ideal profile, interview structure, and individual focus areas
- โScreen candidates against hiring manager criteria, evaluating on attributes and trajectory, not just job titles
- โDeliver clear, actionable candidate summaries that help hiring managers make fast, confident decisions
Drive Sourcing & Pipeline Strategy
- โBuild and execute outbound sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, Boolean search, referral networks, and community channels
- โDevelop and maintain a strong referral pipeline by activating the Akuity team and open-source community networks
- โContinuously calibrate sourcing strategy based on signal from screens and interviews; adjust quickly and over communicate with hiring team
Build Process & Keep the Team Accountable
- โStandardize the recruiting process across all searches: intake, team kickoff, calibration, and debrief
- โEnsure every interviewer knows their assigned competencies and has suggested questions before meeting a candidate
- โEstablish interviewer best practices and scorecard standards across the company
- โHold regular calibration check-ins with hiring managers to refine the search
Own Candidate Experience & Recruiting Ops
- โEnsure every candidate, regardless of outcome has a timely, respectful, and clear experience from first contact through close
- โOwn the operational layer: Greenhouse setup, interview stage configuration, communication templates, scheduling, and automations
- โManage offer processes including compensation conversations in partnership with leadership
- โElevate Akuity's employer brand within the DevOps, open-source, and cloud-native communities
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience,including 2-3 years in-house at a technical startup (B2B SaaS, Series A-C preferred)
- Proven full-cycle recruiting across GTM (Sales, Sales Engineering, CSM, Technical Marketing) and Engineering (DevOps, Platform, Infrastructure)
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a team of one, scrappy, autonomous and high-agency
- Strong outbound sourcing track record; evaluates candidates on attributes and potential, not just title history
- Experience with Greenhouse ATS, including process setup, stage configuration, automations and communication templates.
- Strong understanding of how to recruit across DevOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Platform Engineering roles; familiarity with with the CNCF open-source landscape
- Strong stakeholder management skills: can run intakes, lead team kickoffs, push back constructively, and overcommunicate with hiring team.
Nice to Have

- Familiarity with the Argo/Kargo ecosystem or CNCF community channels
- Experience building interviewer training programs or scorecard best practices
