Maintenance Technician

Performs repairs and maintains facilities in plant or office facilities and building management systems and auxiliary equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, painting, BMS software troubleshooting, machine, and auxiliary equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication and welding. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs all types of Facilities equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

• →Excellent computer skills.
• →Good knowledge of industrial safe work practices.
• →Safe forklift and boom lift operation experience is necessary.
• →Painting skills a plus but not necessary.
• →Fluent in Microsoft Office
• →Fluent in SAP
• →Previous Maintenance and Facility hands on repair/maintenance experience required.
• →Good understanding of general manufacturing equipment
• →Proven problem-solving skills in a teamwork setting.

• →Frequent repetitive hand movements, using hand tools and test equipment.
• →Frequently remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
• →Frequently move about the facility indoors as well as outdoors to make repairs, etc.
• →Constantly positions self to repair/build equipment and/or facility.
• →Frequently ascends/descends a ladder to service equipment and/or complete a building repair.
• →Able to lift 50 lbs., work overhead, climb internal and external ladders, walk long distances, and stand for extended periods. Bending, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods is required.
• →Must work in all climates as required for the business needs.

• →High School Diploma or GED
• →7 years minimum of hands-on facilities Maintenance including BMS and actual hands-on HVAC experience.
• →Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to reason and diagnose basic mechanical and electrical problems.
• →Very strong computer skills with and emphasis on BMS and CMMs systems.
• →Training and certifications in electrical or mechanical maintenance is a plus.
• →Journeyman electrician license is a plus.
