Reporting to senior leadership, the Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing compliance activities, management systems, governance processes, and regulatory alignment across the organisation.
The role ensures all management systems, certifications, operational controls, and compliance frameworks are consistently maintained, effectively implemented, and aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.
The Compliance Manager provides ownership, oversight, and accountability across audit readiness, operational governance, process standardisation, and compliance reporting while ensuring continuous improvement and organisational discipline across certified and regulated areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Management Systems & Certification Compliance
- Oversee and safeguard all management systems and external certifications held by the organisation, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other applicable industry or regulatory standards
- Manage document control systems, registers, and compliance records with accuracy and consistency
- Lead internal audits and systematically track corrective actions to closure
- Oversee external certification and surveillance audits across all approved schemes and accreditations
- Ensure up-to-date records to meet regulatory, certification and operational standards
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements escalating gaps to the Head of Compliance
- Ensure preparation for new certifications, renewals and scope extensions where required
- Ensure adherence to frameworks including data protection obligations
Operational Optimisation
- Map business processes across departments to ensure clarity, accountability and alignment with approved procedures
- Identify inefficiencies, duplication or gaps in process implementation
- Drive structured improvements to enhance consistency, accountability and control
- Ensure standardisation of procedures across departments and subsidiaries for uniform application
- Align operational processes with management system and certification requirements
- Lead and support digitalisation initiatives related to compliance and operational governance (ERP/workflow platforms) Ensure documented procedures accurately reflect operational practice and are properly implemented
Risk & Governance Support
- Oversee enterprise risk assessments and mitigation tracking Monitor non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented within agreed timelines
- Work with department heads to reinforce internal controls and compliance discipline
- Facilitate structured policy reviews and updates
- Support in monitoring compliance obligations arising from certifications and regulatory bodies
- Provide structured reports, dashboards and summaries
Executive Support
- Manage and maintain organised records, files, and confidential documentation
- Prepare professional reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefs
- Monitor executive action plans, manage deadlines and ensure consistent follow-through
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor performance against quality, compliance and operational metrics
- Support the preparation of management review inputs and certification performance summaries

Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in management systems and certification environments (ISO and/or other regulated or accredited schemes)
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining structured processes and ensuring procedural compliance
- Experience in audit preparation and corrective action tracking
- Strong operational coordination experience
- Exposure to ERP, workflow or digital systems preferred
- Experience in technical services, engineering, construction or regulated environments preferred
Qualifications
- ISO Internal Auditor Certification (mandatory)
- ISO Lead Auditor (preferred)
- Knowledge of additional certification frameworks will be considered an asset

- Maintains accuracy and consistency across documentation, certification records and reporting
