This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.

The Operator I, Production Technical Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling manual and operational tasks in production, ensuring equipment is set up, operated, maintained, and troubleshot to meet product specifications, schedules, and quality standards at the North Manufacturing site in Fort Worth, TX.


  • Perform thorough visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct in-process inspections during manufacturing and assembly to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Clearly and professionally communicate inspection findings to relevant teams.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving inspection techniques and industry standards.
  • Handle manual or operational tasks as per guidelines to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment.
  • Ensure products meet specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
  •  Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
  • Monitor output quality to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
  • Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis.
  • Review work orders, schedule resources, and monitor operations for alignment with business objectives.
  • Complete all required training and contribute to organizational compliance.
  • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
