Production Planner

Allen Control Systems (ACS) is a cutting-edge defense startup, founded by two former Navy electrical engineers with a proven track record in robotics and software. We are developing a small, autonomous gun turret that employs advanced computer vision and control systems to precisely target and neutralize small drones and loitering munitions. As a Production Planner, you will manage the flow of all materials and components through the business. You will ensure the production team has work in their queue, the correct priorities, and a clear path to build without blockers. This role requires a strong team player who can work across functional groups to achieve company-wide goals in a rapid-growth environment.  

• →Create production plans that translate sales/forecasts to a production plan that the procurement team can execute against.
• →Release work orders to Production and kit requests to Inventory.   
• →Create visibility of material positions using line-of-balance, shortage, and clear-to-build reports. 
• →Support prioritization and expedite subassemblies to support integration timelines. 
• →Update demand to accommodate engineering change orders and communicate changes to procurement 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a relevant field.
• 2+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing support  
• Proficiency in MRP and ERP systems, as well as MS Office (Excel), basic math, and statistics. 
• Proven ability to conduct clear-to-build reviews and expedite materials through production. 
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other disruptive manufacturing industries. 
• Experience with AS9100 or US export controls is a plus.
