Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
- βDesign, optimize, and maintain Amazon Redshift data warehouses and reporting environments.
- βBuild and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services and Python.
- βDevelop scalable SQL solutions for reporting, analytics, and operational data processing.
- βImprove data quality, validation, reconciliation, and integrity across multiple systems.
- βInvestigate and resolve complex production data issues.
- βOptimize Redshift performance, storage, and query execution.
- βBuild automated data quality controls and monitoring solutions.
- βImprove data synchronization and integration reliability.
- βCollaborate with Software Engineers, QA, Product, and Client Services teams.
- βParticipate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
- βSupport cloud-native data engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
~1 min read- 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or Data Architect.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift (architecture, administration, optimization, and performance tuning).
- Advanced SQL expertise.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience troubleshooting production data issues.
- Experience designing data validation, reconciliation, and data quality solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience with dbt, Great Expectations, Soda, or similar data quality frameworks.
- Experience implementing data observability and monitoring solutions.
- CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps or similar).
- Experience working in highly regulated environments.
- Government or public sector technology experience.
