Location: 11020 SE Kent Kangley Rd, Kent, WA 98030

Crossbeam Investments, LLP, a local property management company, is searching for a Painter/Maintenance Technician for Washington Park, a 435-unit apartment complex located in the Kent areaThe Painter/Maintenance Technician will be responsible for painting units on turns, work orders and general maintenance of the property.  The position reports to the maintenance supervisor or property manager. The ideal candidate will possess basic maintenance skills as well as the ability to communicate with residents and vendors.  


This is a part-time position, at approximately 15 hours per week.  The ideal schedule would be 9am – 12pm Monday – Friday, but there is flexibility for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities of the Painter / Maintenance Technician:
  • Unit Turns such as painting units, repairing cabinets/latches/hinges, light plumbing, light electrical, replacing light fixtures, replacing water heaters, etc.
  • Unit Work Orders such as clogged garbage disposals, toilets, sinks and tubs; leaky faucets, shower heads and anything the resident breaks.
  • Light appliance repair, knobs, burners, heat elements, broken handles, etc.
  • Daily walk of the grounds, vacuum and pick-up garbage as needed to keep areas well maintained.
  • On-call for emergency calls such as fire, floods, emergency repairs, etc.
  • Other duties as needed.

What the Successful Painter / Maintenance Technician will have:
  • Proven experience as a Painter / Maintenance Technician.  Prior painting and maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with general repairs/maintenance work, basic appliance repair, plumbing and electrical.
  • Heavy appliance and pool experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and vendors.
  • Able to work well independently and also collaborate effectively with manager.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a background check and drug test. 

Compensation:
  • Starting at $18.00 -$20.00 per hour (DOE)
