Service Technician - Apprentice

Our consulting group provides a full array of commissioning services for both new and existing buildings, and our technical services group provides start-up services on complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers. The MIH team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients.

• →Assist senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
• →Learn to diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues under supervision
• →Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as filter changes, cleaning components, and checking system performance
• →Safely handle tools, equipment, and materials according to company and OSHA guidelines
• →Maintain accurate service documentation and job reports
• →Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• →Load/unload materials and maintain a clean, organized work area
• →Participate in training programs, certification courses, and on-the-job learning
• →Follow company policies, safety standards, and job schedules

• Completion of an HVAC technical school or apprenticeship program
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in the HVAC trade
• Ability to work in various environments (heat, cold, confined spaces, ladders, rooftops)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Basic hand tools preferred; willingness to acquire additional tools over time
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team

Compensation: $22 - $25 depending on skill, plus benefits
