Responsibilities
~2 min readLet’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for improving revenue and market share in the assigned district by driving sales activities and providing leadership to the field force.
- →Design & Implement Sales force/Customer Engagement strategy
- →Lead & Coach sales team
- →Efficiently work with the brand team and take leadership for customer centric strategies with relevant internal partners
- →Translate Amgen affiliate and brand strategy into regional plans (to deliver successful treatments)
- →Analyze the sales performance of the relevant brands in the district and identifies key levers for action
- →Keep business unit team advised of any market changes / competitor activity relevant to strategy implementation and development
- →Ensure implementation of the Marketing/Commercial tactics by development of territory plans with the team
- →Supervise progress of marketing messages and programs
- →Lead approved budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to meet the plan and financial control
- →Plan, allocate and supervise team expenses budget to ensure budgetary control.
- →Supervise implementation of plan of actions throughout sales cycles and ensures budget spend within agreed time, costs, compliance, and quality parameters
- →Monitor, evaluate and act on field force metrics and standards to improve sales force efficiency from a quantitative and qualitative perspective
- →Build a strong sales team by recruiting and selecting candidates and efficiently on-boarding new hires
- →Coach and motivate team members to achieve/exceed territory goals and optimize individual and team engagement
- →Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and capability assessment within the framework of Amgen’s performance management process
- →Develop individual team members to continuously improve overall level of performance in their role and for future (talent) development
- →Support the team on external key customer visits as needed
- →Take leadership in customer engagement strategies & personal external partner management.
Requirements

- At least 2 years of people management experience in the Gulf region
- Experience in managing sales teams is required
- A minimum of 5 years of proven success in pharmaceutical sales within the Gulf Market
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Familiarity with computer systems, including CRM databases and MS Office
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written
- Possession of relevant local legal qualifications
- Related experience in Cardiovascular & Endocrinology therapies
- Prior experience in sales and marketing positions
- Bachelor’s degree in life science or (bio)medical sciences
- Proficiency in interacting across different fields and interpersonal levels
- Project management experience
