Analytica is seeking an experienced SAS Viya Administrator to support, maintain, optimize, and modernize its SAS platform environment. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability and performance, supporting SAS users, and preparing for the planned transition from legacy SAS deployments to SAS Viya within a federal client environment. 

The ideal candidate will bring advanced experience in SAS administration, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. This work plays a key role in ensuring continuity of analytical operations while enabling future modernization efforts.

Responsibilities 

  • Ensure the current deployment of SAS is functioning as needed, including monitoring server performance and troubleshooting server and application performance issues.  
  • Ensure SAS software is current, including coordinating with FHFA staff and contractors for any application upgrades.  
  • Ensure SAS user questions related to the SAS application are answered in a timely manner, including coding issues.  
  • Ensure planning for FHFA’s future deployment of SAS Viya and migration of SAS users from legacy SAS deployment to Viya. 
  • Participate in conversations with SAS representatives as requested by the COR or senior leadership.  
  • Support administration and maintenance activities related to SAS platform operations, user access, system reliability, and operational support.  
  • Assist with system monitoring, operational reporting, and performance optimization activities to ensure stable analytical operations.  
  • Coordinate with technical teams, infrastructure support personnel, and stakeholders to support operational continuity and modernization efforts.  
  • Support documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational procedures related to the SAS platform environment.  
  • Provide technical guidance and user support to both technical and non-technical stakeholders as needed.  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).  
  • 7+ years of experience administering SAS platforms in enterprise environments.  
  • Experience supporting SAS infrastructure, platform operations, and end users.  
  • Experience with system monitoring, performance troubleshooting, and issue resolution.  
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support diverse technical and non-technical user groups.  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with SAS Viya administration and migration planning.  
  • Experience working within federal government or other regulated environments.  
  • Experience with:  
  • System performance tuning and optimization  
  • Cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments  
  • Linux server administration  
  • Enterprise analytics or data platform support  
  • Familiarity with modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
