Responsibilities

As a Youth Care Worker, you'll spend your day actively engaging with youth, building relationships, teaching skills, and helping create a positive environment where growth can happen.
You'll:
- →Build meaningful relationships with youth through mentorship and daily interactions
- →Encourage confidence, accountability, and positive decision-making
- →Help youth develop life skills that support long-term success
- →Lead and participate in recreational, educational, and group activities
- →Support daily routines and provide structure throughout the day
- →Teach healthy coping skills and emotional regulation strategies
- →Help youth work through challenges and celebrate successes
- →Collaborate with therapists, clinicians, and other team members
- →Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- →Use verbal de-escalation and relationship-building skills to support youth during difficult moments
- →Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment
You won't sit behind a desk.

Requirements
~1 min readWe're looking for individuals who are ready to show up consistently and make an impact.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive during challenging situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or higher
- Previous experience working with youth ages 6-17
- Experience in behavioral health, education, residential care, mentoring, recreation, coaching, or related fields
For some youth, you may become the person who:
- Encourages them when they want to give up
- Helps them learn how to manage difficult emotions
- Shows them what accountability looks like
- Celebrates their progress when nobody else notices
- Helps them believe in themselves again
