ASI is seeking an experienced Maintenance Analyst to work in Patuxent River, MD. Maintenance Analysts perform various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems and information systems. The primary work location is in an office, maintenance control, or hangar environment adjacent to flight line operations. There will be the occasional opportunity to walk on active flight lines wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and accessing aircraft hangars or shipboard maintenance offices.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Operate automated aircraft maintenance information management systems (such as NALCOMIS / OOMA / DECKPLATE) to export maintenance and flight data
- →Enter, review, and validate maintenance actions, Work Orders (WOs), and Maintenance Action Forms (MAFs) for accuracy and completeness
- →Investigate, and correct data-entry errors, missing entries, and configuration discrepancies across maintenance databases
- →Collect and analyze maintenance performance and readiness data
- →Track failures, identify trends, and document corrective actions within the NAVAIR Enterprise Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) tool
- →Develop standard and ad-hoc maintenance management reports to assist leadership in decision-making
- →Conduct trend analyses to calculate metrics, identify recurring component failures, and maintenance bottlenecks
- →Attend pre- and post-briefs for flights, data collection, input, and analysis
- →Organize, analyze, and prepare reports or presentations of technical data and information
- →Track and document Technical Directive (TD) compliance, ensuring all airframe, avionics, and power-plant modifications are documented and accounted for
- →Provide administrative and data support for operational detachments, test events, fleet transition cycles, and deployment mobilizations as required
- →Occasional travel or detachment support (5–15%) may be required
Requirements

- At least 4 years of military or DOD/DOW contractor maintenance administration or maintenance data analysis experience
- Experience working with maintenance data entry, database tracking, and reporting
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven aptitude to quickly learn proprietary databases, defense information systems, and evolving regulatory frameworks
- Prior U.S. Navy Aviation Maintenance Administration (AZ), Marine Corps Aviation Information Systems Specialist (MOS 6046), or surface equivalent
- Experience in Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) and Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA)
- Experience supporting Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Fleet Readiness Centers (FRCs), or military operational/test squadrons
- Ability to use Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with NAVAIRINST 4790, Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)
