HVAC Tech/Mechanic

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting HVAC Tech/Mechanics to support the North Texas VA Medical Center located at 4500 S. Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216. Shift schedule will typically be Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. • →Install, operate, repair, and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems.
• →Work on equipment ranging from small domestic units to systems up to 300 HP and central plants up to 500 tons.
• →Inspect HVAC and refrigeration equipment for proper operation.
• →Perform preventive maintenance and both major and minor repairs. 
• →Troubleshoot refrigerant leaks, mechanical failures, and control systems. 
• →Service compressors and HVAC components.
• →Adjust, calibrate, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic controls. 
• →Perform chemical treatment of HVAC water systems. 
• →Coordinate daily work assignments with the VA COR. 
• →Provide daily reports including completed work, preventive maintenance, parts replaced, equipment serviced, and follow-up needs.
• →Complete daily timecards and documentation of work performed. 
• →Follow VA check-in/check-out procedures and safety requirements.

• Minimum 4 years of journeyman-level refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and chilled water systems.
• Experience performing repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on large commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience in hospital or critical infrastructure environments preferred
• Active Texas HVAC License required.
• Siemens Controls Training certification required.
• OSHA Certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret:
  • Blueprints
  • Mechanical drawings
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Schematics

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
