At ANYbotics, we build autonomous, end-to-end robotic solutions that automate routine industrial inspections in complex and hazardous environments. As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal, high-ownership role in shaping the supply chain foundation for our next-generation robotics platform, ANYmal D2.

Operating at the intersection of strategic sourcing and industrialization, you will drive critical procurement activities from early prototype phases straight through to full production ramp-up. You won't just be managing transactional purchase orders—you will build scalable procurement processes from scratch, secure high-performing global supplier networks, and directly influence the cost, quality, and delivery of cutting-edge robotic hardware.

Industrial facilities present some of the world's most severe operating conditions. Our autonomous quadrupedal platforms navigate multi-story plants, stairs, and hazardous areas—delivering continuous operational insight without human risk. Bringing a next-generation, high-complexity mechatronic product like ANYmal D2 from concept to serial production demands a resilient, agile, and cost-effective supply chain. Sourcing high-precision mechanical parts, advanced electronics, and specialized electromechanical systems requires a strategic procurement leader who thrives in fast-paced hardware environments.

Establish and execute the end-to-end procurement strategy for the new ANYmal D2 project across both prototype and production phases

Secure critical suppliers and manage complex global sourcing networks across Europe and Asia

Lead high-stakes RFQs, contract negotiations, and cost-optimization initiatives to meet ambitious target costs and timelines

Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate single-source and supply chain risks for high-criticality components

Drive supplier qualification, capacity planning, and onboarding in close alignment with industrialization roadmaps

Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless NPI transition

10+ years of hands-on experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier management within a complex industrial or hardware environment (robotics, automotive, aerospace, electronics, or industrial automation)

Proven track record of managing procurement activities throughout the entire product lifecycle—from early-stage NPI prototypes to serial production ramp-up

Deep expertise in sourcing custom mechanical, electrical, and complex electromechanical components

Strong mastery of strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier agreements, and long-term commercial terms

Demonstrated ability to build supplier networks and procurement processes from the ground up in fast-growing or dynamic hardware organizations

Experience working effectively with international supplier bases, particularly across Europe and Asia

Collaborative approach with strong experience influencing and partnering with cross-functional Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams

Business fluency in English

Deep domain knowledge in sourcing specialized robotic hardware such as electronics, PCBAs, high-density batteries, motors, or drives

Fluency in German for local supplier communication

Background in low-to-medium volume, high-complexity hardware manufacturing environments
